In short: a foreign virtual card is a bank card without plastic. Its details live in your personal account, and you can pay with it online and, once it is added to your phone, in shops. TainetCard is a virtual dollar card with no documents and no bank visit: you top it up in rubles via SBP or a Mir card, or in crypto (USDC), and it appears in your account a few minutes after payment. Below: why an ordinary Russian card does not help, how to get a new one step by step, the Apple Pay and Google Pay caveat, and where such a card is accepted.
The practical steps are below; if you'd rather skip the setup, Tainet VPN connects in a couple of minutes - through the Telegram bot or in your account on this site.
Why a Russian card does not help
Cards from Russian banks are not accepted abroad or by most foreign services. It is not a fault or a settings issue: the payment simply does not go through. A card from a foreign bank is issued in person, with documents and a trip to a branch, and the plastic takes weeks, while you need to pay today. On top of that, Apple Pay and Google Pay do not work with Russian cards.
So paying abroad needs a card that is accepted there. A virtual one covers that without trips or paperwork. For how to handle Russian banks while you are abroad, see the full map of Russian services abroad and how other banks and Gosuslugi work from abroad.
What a virtual card is
A virtual card is an ordinary bank card without plastic: the number, expiry and CVV are stored in your account. You can pay with it online, and once it is added to your phone, by tapping in a shop. The card is prepaid: you spend what you put on it.
For TainetCard it looks like this:
| What | How it works |
|---|---|
| Type | a virtual dollar card, accepted where Visa and Mastercard are accepted |
| Documents | none; you enter your first and last name in Latin letters, they appear on the card |
| Top-up | in rubles via SBP or a Mir card, or in crypto: USDC on Ethereum (ERC20) |
| Issue time | a few minutes after payment, on average |
| Apple Pay and Google Pay | work if your Apple ID or Google account region is a country where they are available |
| How many cards | several, each with its own name and history |
How to get TainetCard: three steps
- Choose the amount. Set how much to put on the card and how you want to pay.
- Pay. In rubles via SBP or a Mir card, or by a USDC transfer. The issue price, fee, exchange rate and final amount depend on the method and are shown in your account before you pay: the amount in the order does not change.
- Add the card to your phone. The card appears in your personal account, and its details show on tap. Add it to Apple Pay or Google Pay and pay.
Details and the issue button are on the TainetCard page.
Apple Pay and Google Pay: the region caveat
You can link the card to your phone, but there is a condition: your Apple ID or Google account region must be a country where Apple Pay and Google Pay work. A step-by-step guide is in your account.
If you do not need the Pay services, you can use the card without them: the details are shown in your account and entered on websites by hand.
Tainet VPN - a stable connection with no complicated setup. Sign up through the Telegram bot or in your account on this site, support is an AI assistant and real people, from $0.10 a day.

The reference points we give on the card page (anywhere Visa and Mastercard are accepted):
| Category | Examples |
|---|---|
| AI and software | ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney, GitHub, Notion, Figma |
| Subscriptions | Netflix, Spotify, YouTube Premium, iCloud, Google One |
| Travel | Booking, Airbnb, flights, taxis, shops and cafés |
| Online shopping | Amazon, AliExpress, Steam, App Store, Google Play |
These are examples, not a promise: the decision is made by the shop or service, and a particular one may not accept the card. If a payment failed and does not appear in the card history, the shop did not accept the card and the money on it is intact. Try entering the name and address in Latin letters, as on the card, and switching the VPN off; if the refusal repeats, that service does not work with such cards.
What else the card can do
- Several cards. One for subscriptions, another for travel, each with its own name and transaction history.
- Confirmation codes. Payment codes arrive in your account, in Telegram and by email, next to the card details.
- Hidden details. Number, expiry and CVV show on tap and hide themselves after a minute.
- Top-ups. At any time, the same way: in rubles or crypto.
- Your own crypto address. Your personal USDC address is yours: it pays for later cards and top-ups too.
You cannot withdraw cash or transfer money from the card: it is prepaid, and the balance is spent on purchases. If you no longer need the card, a balance of $10 or more can be returned on request from your account: in USDC to your crypto wallet, minus 2% and the network fee.
TainetCard and the service subscription
The card and the subscription for the secure connection live in one account. If you are abroad and use Russian services, video calls between Russia and abroad, included in the subscription, may also come in handy, as does the guide to T-Bank abroad: why an ordinary card does not help there and what to do.
